SYNOPSIS: A cheap and dangerous one-act by Bunny Sparber and Coco Mault in which audiences are brought down into an actual basement to witness the making of a porn movie. Then, at the end, there is a party.

HISTORY: This is the first of several planned scripts to be authored by Bunny Sparber and Coco Mault under the auspices of a theater company they are forming, named Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control. The intention is to self-produce (and make available for production) royalty free short scripts that can be produced in non-theatrical environments for almost no money at all, with the resulting productions behaving more like underground events than traditional plays. The script is currently in preproduction.

COMMENTS: As its name suggests, Basement Porn Party is intended to be performed in a basement, and intended to turn into an actual party (the script lists a number of porn-themed party games.) We suggest productions not be booked on successive night in one location, as would happen with a traditional production, but instead happen intermittently, changing location, and be invite-only.

While we will not be putting Basement Porn Party to the Public Domain, we are currently not asking a license fee for performance. Just let us know you plan to perform it and send us photos. Lots of photos.

We have deliberately not identified the genders of the characters in the script, which allows the possibility that the porn film being made in the play could be straight, gay, lesbian, or whatever variation seems most appealing or interesting to the play's producers. There can be as much or as little actual nudity in the production as you and your cast feel comfortable with.
