LICENSING INFORMATION

All of my plays are available to be licensed for production. The licensing fees depend on a number of factors, including how many performances of a play a theater intends to do, the size of the theater, whether the theater is a non-profit or not, and what the theater charges for ticket prices. If you are interested in producing one of my plays, drop me a line at maxsparber@gmail.com or via my contact page to discuss the details.

There are several exceptions to this. They are as follows:

College and student productions: I do not charge a licensing fee for college and student productions. However, you will still need my permission to produce on of my scripts, and I do enjoy hearing how the production goes, getting programs and posters from the production, and seeing whatever publicity and feedback a production gets.

Staged readings: I do not charge a licensing fee for staged readings, as long as there is no fee required of the audience to see it. I don’t even require that you tell me about the reading. Go ahead. Have fun with it.

The script boyELROY: I have placed boyELROY in the Public Domain. There are no requirements whatsoever if you wish to perform it. You need not ask permission, pay me, or even inform me. That being said, I do enjoy hearing about productions, and would appreciate it if you let me know.

Plays in the Fast, Cheap and Out of Control Collection and the I'm Just a Bad Boy monolgues: While these scripts are not in the Public Domain, for the moment, neither I nor my occasional co-author Coco Mault are requesting a fee for licensing, nor do we require you inform us of a production. We do request you send us photos, however.
